FirstNudge Support

Find quick fixes for the most common FirstNudge questions. If the steps below do not solve the problem, email batchcompressvideos@gmail.com and include your iPhone model, iOS version, FirstNudge version, and what happened. Do not send private task text unless it is necessary to explain the issue.

Assisted Capture or Make Smaller is not working

Steps

  1. Confirm your iPhone has an internet connection. Manual tasks work locally, but assisted requests require the secured backend.
  2. Check the assisted-action count and reset date in FirstNudge Settings.
  3. If a request failed, retry the same request instead of starting a new one. A retry using the same request ID should not consume another action.
  4. Close and reopen FirstNudge, then try again.
  5. If the issue continues, email support with the approximate time of the request and any error message. Do not include sensitive task content unless needed.

I reached my assisted-action limit

Free includes 10 assisted actions per UTC calendar month. Pro includes 150 total per UTC calendar month. Your count resets with the next UTC calendar month. Manual task creation and editing, local search, the Now recommendation, focus sessions, recurring tasks, reminders, and the basic widget remain available while assisted requests are paused.

Voice capture is not working

Steps

  1. Open iPhone Settings and confirm FirstNudge has access to the microphone and Speech Recognition.
  2. Return to FirstNudge and open Voice Capture again.
  3. Speak clearly and check the editable transcript before organizing or saving.
  4. If speech recognition is unavailable, type the task instead. Availability can depend on language, device support, network conditions, and Apple’s speech service.

FirstNudge does not send microphone audio to its Firebase/OpenAI backend. Depending on device and language support, Apple may process speech recognition on the device or through Apple services. The resulting text is sent to the FirstNudge backend only if you request assisted organization.

Notifications are not arriving

Steps

  1. Open iPhone Settings → Notifications → FirstNudge and allow notifications.
  2. Check the reminder time inside the task and confirm the task is still open.
  3. Review Focus modes, Scheduled Summary, and notification preview settings on your iPhone.
  4. Open FirstNudge after changing time zone or notification permissions so reminder requests can be refreshed.

FirstNudge schedules local notifications you approve, but iOS controls presentation and delivery. A reminder is not a guarantee that a notification will appear at a particular moment.

Calendar-aware suggestions are unavailable

Steps

  1. Confirm FirstNudge Pro is active.
  2. Open iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars and allow FirstNudge access.
  3. In FirstNudge Settings, open Calendar Connection and choose the calendars and availability hours you want to use.
  4. Return to Plan and request a new suggestion.

Calendar availability is read on your device. Calendar titles, attendee information, and event contents are not sent with assisted requests. FirstNudge does not write events to an external calendar in this release.

Pro is not recognized

Steps

  1. Confirm you are signed in to the Apple Account that purchased FirstNudge Pro.
  2. In FirstNudge, tap Restore Purchases.
  3. Check the subscription under iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
  4. Reopen FirstNudge after the restore completes.
  5. If Apple shows an active subscription but FirstNudge does not, email support with a screenshot of the subscription status. Hide unrelated Apple Account information before sending it.

How to cancel FirstNudge Pro

Open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → FirstNudge, then choose Cancel Subscription. Apple manages billing and cancellation. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

The widget is not updating

Steps

  1. Open FirstNudge so the latest local task state can refresh.
  2. Confirm the suggested task still exists and is open.
  3. Remove the FirstNudge widget and add it again.
  4. Restart the iPhone if the widget remains stale.

Widgets update on a schedule controlled by iOS, so an update may not appear immediately.

A deadline changed when I meant to postpone work

A deadline and a planned work time are separate in FirstNudge. Open the task details and confirm the true deadline, planned attempt, and reminder. Use Later or a planned work time to reschedule the attempt. Edit the deadline only when the real due date changed.

Delete tasks or request deletion

Delete individual tasks inside FirstNudge. Removing FirstNudge from your iPhone removes the app’s local data from that device, subject to any device backups managed by Apple. To request deletion of backend data associated with your pseudonymous FirstNudge identifiers or a support email, follow the instructions on the Privacy Choices and Data Deletion page or email batchcompressvideos@gmail.com.
